Mónika Juhász Miczura, a Roma (Gypsy) singer is claiming that the trio pilfered it from her 1995 folk song ‘Bajba, Bajba Pelem.’ She alleges the three manipulated her original vocals with auto-tune and then used them in the first 13 seconds of ‘Drunk in Love,’ all without her permission.
According to TMZ, Miczura is suing in the Manhattan Supreme Court, and is especially miffed that her track about “hopelessness†was used to “evoke foreign eroticism alongside the sexually intense lyrics [of ‘Drunk In Love].â€
