The 33-year-old singer Beyoncé’s fifth album which includes two new songs “7/11″ and “Ring Off” has just showed its first debut online and leaked in full on Thursday this week.
Behind the scene, what is the song means to the “If I were a Boy” singer. Is it another song that emphasizes her relationship with Jay? Based on the “Ring Off” title, and the fact that a lyric is about being “tired of the lies,” folks immediately began worrying that “Ring Off” would be about “more problems in the Knowles-Carter household.”
However, it turns out that the song is about a relationship, but not Bey and Jay’s. It’s about Beyonce’s mom Tina and probably Beyoncé’s dad Matthew.
“This song pays tribute to Tina’s handling of the divorce, and what sounds like maybe not the nicest treatment beforehand.” Beyoncé adds that she’s so proud of her mom Tina for the fact that “took the high road”, which references form Tina’s new life second half, Richard Lawson. “Now the fun begins,” Bey promises, “[so] dust yourself off and you love again.”
