Fans are harnessing the power of the internet to vent their disappointment of artistry within the music business. The first singer being targeted is Ciara, an online petition currently signed by two hundred and fifty individuals calls for her to quit entertaining people through music.
"We want to get rid not only Ciara! But other gimmicks in the music industry! We need more artists like Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Beyonce Knowles just to name a few! Tired of this microwave music! Keep supporting this cause!" stated the petition started by the Essence of Sean.
In 2011, Ciara signed a record deal with L.A. Reid's Epic Records and is currently preparing her fifth studio album entitled 'One Woman Army.' The first leaked from the project was "Sweat," a buzz record featuring 2 Chainz. The record did not gain widespread appeal on or offline.
Though Ciara is the main target of the petition, the underlining tone is aimed at all artist perceived to earn success based on non-musical talents.
